Sanyo releasing new Xacti HD camcorder soon
Sanyo’s new quirky HD camcorder, the Xacti CG11 HD, will make its debut soon. The ergonomically-designed device records 720p video, can shoot JPEG images at 10MP with a 5x optical zoom and transfer footage to YouTube with Eye-Fi cards. The design (available in orange, white and pea green), is unique, but I’m not sure I really want a camcorder that looks like a pistol. However, the casing is supposed to be durable, which is leading some reviewers to estimate that it might be a great travel camera.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see since the compact camcorder is set to be released on September 11 in Japan with a starting retail price at approximately $317 USD, and soon after in the U.S.
