Casio announces new Exilim pocket camera: the EX-Z280
After announcing the EX-Z33 earlier this month, Casio announced another upcoming release in the point-and-shoot department: the Exilim EX-Z280.
The compact, 12.1-megapixel EX-Z280 boasts a wide-angle 26 mm 4X optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, and a high-speed dedicated image processing CPU, which allows the camera to perform complex processing right on the camera. Built-in setting features include a Dynamic Photo feature for adding animated clip art to any picture without software, and a Makeup function that recognizes faces and automatically adjusts focus and exposure. The camera also shoots 720p HD video at 1280×720 pixels, and it is YouTube-ready. Casio is setting the price tag at $180.
