ZDNet readers pick Canon as favorite camera brand

In a poll on favorite camera brands conducted on this blog last week, Canon came out on top with 43% of the votes. As of September 29 at 8:00AM EDT, 292 people voted in the poll, with Nikon coming in second with 24% and Sony taking the bronze at 10%. Casio and Samsung tied at the bottom of the lis, with 1% each. Sanyo also got a few write-in votes.

Do you agree with the poll? Whom do you think should have topped over the rest? What is it about Canon that photographers like so much? Or is it just hype?
