Canon posts EOS 5D Mark II instruction manualIf you’re jonesing for more information on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and can’t wait until it’s released sometime towards the end of November, you’re in luck: Canon just posted the full 228-page user manual for the long-anticipated successor to its EOS 5D digital SLR. Posted on Friday on the Canon site along with the Pocket Guide that comes with the camera and a bunch of updated utilities, the manual can only be scintillating reading for real die hards, but it does include some nice FAQs, tips, and interesting tidbits like the fact that you need to use a large-capacity memory card with an actual read/write speed of at least 8MB/sec to shoot movies at full HD (1,920×1,080) quality, you can shoot an HD movie for about 12 minutes with a 4GB card, and that movie files are limited to 4GB in size or a recording time of up to 29 minutes and 59 seconds.
