Welcome new ZDNet Digital Cameras & Camcorders blogger, Rachel King
I’d like you all to give a warm welcome to ZDNet’s new Reviews blogger, Rachel King. She’ll be joining me here on the Digital Cameras & Camcorders blog, which (as you’ll notice from the new name) we’re expanding to include regular coverage of digital camcorders and software.
Rachel is a journalist based on both coasts of the United States, in New York City and San Francisco (she’s originally from the latter). She has previously worked for The Business Insider, FastCompany.com, CNN’s San Francisco bureau and the U.S. Department of State, and she’s written for as diverse outlets as MainStreet.com, Irish America magazine and the New York Daily News.
She’s a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the Journalism School at Columbia University, where she served as art director for the student magazine Plated.
Rachel started playing with her mother’s old Brownie camera when she was just a toddler, working her way up from a Hello Kitty point-and-shoot to training on both film and digital SLR cameras.
As a lover of world travel who can occasionally be found in international capitals, camera in hand, Rachel also blogs about travel industry news and trends for True/Slant (so if you’ve got a good travel tip, sent it her way).
