Nokia Booklet 3G finally official: $299 with two year contract on AT&T
Nokia finally released all the details on its forthcoming Booklet 3G netbook with mobile broadband.
The company announced on Tuesday that the device will be subsidized by AT&T, and will be priced at $299 with a two year contract. (The data plan will cost $60 per month.)
Unsubsidized, the Booklet 3G will cost $599, quite pricey considering it sports an Intel Atom processor.
The device, which offers a 12-hour battery, will run on Windows 7 and launch the same day: October 22.
It will be available exclusively at Best Buy during the holiday season.
What I’m wondering: Can AT&T handle more load on its 3G network? And why does Nokia want to get in the hardware game? (Perhaps because of the big profits; see: Apple iPhone.)

Microsoft tablet device leaked: 'Courier' booklet
Hot on the heels of our very own Mary Jo Foley’s news about Microsoft’s under-wraps experiments with tablet devices comes the full reveal: Microsoft Courier.
Revealed at the press-only kickoff for the Gizmodo Gallery in New York City, the Courier appears to be a dual-screen, hinged touch tablet that is intended to be used primarily as a digital pen and pad.
The screens of this “late prototype” device are seven inches apiece. The home button resides on the hinge and status messages (wireless signal, battery life) are displayed along the edge of the screen. Out back (as in the cover) is a camera.
