Who really needs to pay extra for a TiVo or DVR during these trying economic times, right? VIZIO recently announced a new line of HDTVs that will incorporate video streaming sites and video applications. I got a chance to check out the TVs yesterday, and I was duly impressed.

The fall 2009 line of Extreme VIZIO Technology series (XVT) allows you to subscribe to Vudu, Netflix, Blockbuster OnDemand, Amazon Video On Demand, and Rhapsody, and you can stream content for free from sites like Showtime and Pandora.
