Rose: iPhone 3.0 will be able to do everything Palm Pre can
During the SxSW taping of Diggnation, host Kevin Rose confirmed that cut and paste were coming in the iPhone 3.0 software and that the new version will be able to do everything the Pre can do, according to an unnamed source.
“They told me that this brings it up to speed with all of the Palm Pre stuff. So everything that the Palm Pre thought they had on Apple, has now gone away.”
However, there won’t be any background apps or video recording with the 3.0 update, Rose said.

As I wrote before, Palm’s reluctance to launch its Pre smartphone is slowly eroding away the advantage that Palm had at the original announcement at CES 2009.
