MSI Wind notebook hits stores, promptly sells out?
The much-delayed MSI Wind has finally started to ship — well, sort of.
Pre-orders for the mini machine have started to ship, supposedly. Newegg, Fry’s, Buy.com and others are supposed to stock the 10-inch device, but they have either already sold out or are keeping mum (the machine isn’t showing up by searching).
(Those consumers who didn’t have the foresight to order early can get yer grubby, gadgety hands on the petite, 2.6-lb., $500 machine in “3 to 5 weeks,” according to Amazon.)
So much for “riding with the Wind.”
The XP-equipped ultra-mobile features MSI’s three-cell battery. A bigger six-cell XP version is expected to arrive in September, and for Linux fans, there will three-cell machine for you, too.
