Sony Ericsson introduces W205 Walkman phone
Not content with just one announcement today, Sony Ericsson introduced today the W205 entry-level Walkman slider phone with FM radio and other multimedia functions intended to bring more people into the phone-as-media-player fold.
With catch phrases like “make it rock” and “chilling in the park,” it’s clear that the phone is intended to bring consumers who covet true smartphones such as Apple’s iPhone but don’t have the cash or the tech-savvy to spring for them. Still, with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and interestingly, the Opera mobile browser, it’s not a bad choice if you’re looking to combine your MP3 player with your phone without springing for a data plan.
