MSI introduces 'high end' U123 Wind netbook for mobile business

MSI today announced the U123 series of netbooks, a 10-inch light and compact platform that has sharper lines and more colors than the company’s “cute” U100 and insides to match.

The U123 uses the latest Atom platform from Intel and basic HDD capacity has been upgraded to 160GB. It also includes 2GB of DRAM, a 10 in. display and Windows, of course.

The U123 has mobile business use in mind, and has been fitted with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and 3.5G mobile network cards (U123H only). There’s a model with an integrated TV tuner (U123T), too.

Oh, and as for those colors: white, gray, midnight blue and red.

  • Ports: D-sub x 1 , Mic-in , Headphone, RJ45, USB 2.0 x 3(U123, U123H) , USB 2.0 x 2(U123T)
  • Battery: 3 cell/ 6 cell optional
  • Connectivity: 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V2.0EDR (optional)
  • Webcam: 1.3 M/ 2.0M optional
  • 3.5G HSDPA
  • “Easy Face Manager” for facial recognition security
  • Larger more comfortable keyboard
