Pure Digital debuts second-gen Flip Ultra, UltraHD camcorders
Pure Digital today announced the second-generation of its handy, portable Flip Ultra camcorder line.
The new generation is available in both high-definition and standard-resolution models, and features two hours of recording time, a two-inch “transflective” display and battery recharging (rechargeable AA) via its built-in USB arm.
Like all Flip Video camcorders, the new Ultra line is pre-loaded with FlipShare, on-board software to help organize and share videos. The camcorders work on both Mac and PC.
The original Flip has sold more than 2 million camcorders since first introduced in 2007. The Flip MinoHD, launched last November, is currently the top-selling HD camcorder in the country, according to market research firm The NPD Group.
