Asus Eee PC spotted running Android, Qualcomm CPU
Looks like several reporters at Computex Taipei 2009 have noticed an Asus Eee PC netbook that had the Google Android operating system installed and a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU under the hood.
Qualcomm was behind the system, designed to demonstrate its low-power Snapdragon platform, which can support 720p video, a 12MP camera and 1280×720 WXGA resolution.
In other words, here’s hoping for thinner, cooler netbooks. Cheaper, too, since this would introduce more competition into the segment.
