Toshiba today announced the mini NB205 netbook, a system boasting a full-sized keyboard, large touchpad and nine hours of battery life, according to the company.

It marks Toshiba’s first such entry into the growing netbook market.

Positioned as a premium netbook, the system features a 10.1-in. diagonal widescreen LED backlit display, a full-size QWERTY raised-tile (”chiclet”) keyboard and a full-size touchpad. It has Microsoft Windows XP installed.

The mini NB205 also comes equipped with a Hard Drive Impact Sensor and a USB port with Sleep-and-Charge (which enables users to charge various consumer electronics devices even when the unit is turned off).
