HTC to unveil Android-powered HTC Hero on June 24

HTC, manufacturer of the T-Mobile G1 and Google Ion smartphones, is scheduled to unveil its new Android-powered smartphone, the HTC Hero, in London on June 24, according to a new report via DigiTimes.

Interestingly, the HTC Hero will be available in two versions: with and without a QWERTY keyboard. The model with a keyboard will be named HTC Memphis or HTC Lancaster. for sale by AT&T exclusively in the US for six months starting the third quarter, DigiTimes reports.

The Hero will also be equipped with HTC’s popular TouchFLO 3D user interface, which is found on current HTC smartphones such as the Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro. (Image: Google Ion/HTC Magic)
