BenQ introduces 13.3-in. thin-and-light Joybook Lite T131 laptop
BenQ today announced its latest ultraportable netbook, the 13.3-in. Joybook Lite T131, which isn’t the lightest (at 3.97 lbs.) or thinnest (1.1 in.) in this segment, but a reasonable thin-and-light option nonetheless.
The T131 is intended to be portable, of course, and packs AMD’s Yukon mobile platform, integrated microphone, 1.3-megapixel webcam and Wi-Fi connectivity. It’s 12.6 in. by 9.45 in. by 1.1 in. and sports a 250-nit CCFL “UltraVivid” screen with a low-reflectivity, anti-glare coating.
Differentiating the laptop from a true notebook is a 320GB hard disk drive, two built-in speakers, a “chiclet” style keyboard and an SD/MMC card reader plus two USB ports. The notebook also packs HD audio, VoIP, smart noise suppression and echo cancellation for audio and video.

The BenQ Joybook Like T131 comes in midnight blue or snowy white and will be available in June in China. No word on price or if/when the T131 will reach U.S. shores.
