Magellan Maestro 4700 GPS sports 4.7-in. display, voice command, highway lane assist; $299
Magellan on Tuesday introduced its Maestro 4700 GPS device, a slim unit that offers “premium” features — such as a 4.7-in. color touchscreen display, voice command capabilities, highway lane assist and hands-free Bluetooth calling — in a $299 device.
In terms of features, the Maestro 4700 is par for the course at this price point, but the simplicity of its design helps it stand out from the pack.
The 4700 also features 12 additional bookmarks to save favorites, a noice-cancelling microphone, predictive traffic, access to points-of-interest and AAA TourBook guides and a “find your car” mode that helps you find where you parked your vehicle (if you take the GPS device along with you).
The $299.99 device ships with a windshield mount and cradle; 12-volt vehicle power adapter; USB cable, protective pouch, adhesive disk for alternative, on-dash mounting; and quick reference guide.
