Stylish eMachines EZ1601 all-in-one PC for family; $399
eMachines on Tuesday announced the EZ16-01 all-in-one PC, a $399.99 nettop system intended to address a family’s basic computing needs in a fairly affordable, space-saving format.
Sized for the kitchen or another room as a quick-access digital media terminal, the new EZ fits the bill as a household utility, albeit underpowered. On the outside you’ll find an 18.5-in. widescreen LCD display (1366×768) with integrated speakers, a “diamond black” finish, green LED lights and silver trim (keyboard and mouse to match).
Inside, you’ll find Intel’s aging Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz, 512KB L2 cache), 1GB DDR2 memory, a 160GB HDD, integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics, Windows XP Home and built-in 802.11b/g wireless connectivity.
The system also has an 8x DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti double layer drive, a multi-in-one digital media card reader and five USB 2.0 ports (two side, three rear).
It’s available now.
