LEAKED: Images of four Motorola/Verizon phones for 2009
Call it “Motorola’s dying gasp.”
Dying gasp, of course, because the iPhone stole Motorola’s thunder.
Four handsets are coming to Verizon Wireless in 2009, code-named “Flash,” “Rush 2,” “Calgary” and “Inferno,” according to the rascally reporters at BoyGeniusReport, and if these leaked images are indeed the real thing, here’s a glimpse at Motorola’s latest styling cues:

Some signature styling cues for sure…and some very new ones indeed.
The edgy handsets — Flash, and to a lesser extent, Calgary — are the most notable, I think. Strikes me as a nice way to separate a product from the saturation-point iPhone styling without losing sight of the fact that one flat side of the device must be dedicated to the surface by whicha user operates the phone.
