Japanese company I-O Data has released the SEG Clip, which will allow iPhone and iPod touch owners to watch digital TV on their phone/iPod. Of course, this is only available in Japan, since it is the only country — along with Peru and Brazil — that uses the 1Seg digital TV standard. Still, it’s an interesting concept, even if you don’t live in one of those countries.

The stick plugs into your computer’s USB port — PC only, as of now –, and users can stream digital files from their computer to their iPhones using Wi-Fi. You can also store the video on your iPhone/iPod touch to watch at a later date.

The SEG Clip will be available in Japan at the end of the month for $70. Now, we just have to wait for iPhones in the U.S. to have the same luxury.
