Logitech on Thursday announced its Harmony 700 universal remote, offering a rechargeable device that replaces six devices and sports a color LCD screen.

Like its much more expensive big brother the Harmony 900 — which offers RF tech and a $400 price tag — the $150 Harmony 700 keeps the remote’s cherished curvature and does away with the technological excess.

The Harmony 700 offers “one click control,” allowing you to command it to “Watch a DVD” without fidgeting with settings.

On the color LCD screen, you can see icons for your favorite channels, allowing you to select visually without remembering the channel number.

The Harmony 700 comes with rechargeable AA batteries that can go “several weeks” between charges.

Logitech says the Harmony 700 remote can control “virtually any IR home-electronic device,” from Betamax to Blu-ray.

The remote will be available in the U.S. and Europe in September for $149.99.
