Sharp announced two new items today at the CEDIA show. The first is a new Blu-ray player, the BD-HP52U, which will be able to connect to the Web. Sharp also is planning on partnering with a service provider to offer streaming video content. The service provider is still unnamed, but we’re supposed to hear something later in September.

Sharp’s other announcement is the DK-AP8P and the DK-AP7P iPod docks. Both are portable, have two speakers and a subwoofer, and charge any docked iPod or iPhone. The AP8P has a removable front face plate that acts as a remote control. They have about a six-hour battery life for playback, and also come with a carrying case.

The Blu-ray player will begin shipping in October for $380, while the DK-AP8P and DK-AP7P iPod docks will ship later this month for $190 and $130, respectively.
