Palm Pre with GSM to launch soon in Germany
A GSM version of the popular Palm Pre smartphone will be available this fall in Germany, according to a new report.
PreCentral reports that the O2 site for the Palm Pre denotes an “autumn” release for the 3G GSM handset, previously expected to arrive “before the end of the year.”
Some consumers in North America have been waiting for such a phone, which was originally confirmed to be available only to other regions of the world. It’s unclear whether Palm’s agreement with Sprint would allow such a phone to enter the U.S. market.
