Emblaze Mobile and Access have released details and photos of their upcoming Linux-based mobile phone: the ELSE INTUITION. (Yes, it has to be all in caps each time.)

Perhaps unfortunately for Emblaze and Access, a few tech blogs seem to be more concerned with its “hyperbolic” press release, and I’m afraid I have to admit the all the glowing self-praise is distracting. According to the release, with the use of ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 and the combination of state-of-the-art hardware, accelerated 2D/3D graphics and “elegant” transition effects, the two companies claim that the ELSE INTUITION is “an entirely new category of mobile device that allows for a complete, fully-functional user experience.” Wow, that’s quite a statement. They don’t stop there, promising that it is already a strong competitor against “standalone off-the-shelf dedicated devices, such as digital cameras, top-ranked MP3 players, best-in-class GPS devices.” It could be possible, but those are something reviewers are going to need to see to believe.

There aren’t many other details about size, tech specs, pricing or release dates. Do you think it will just be a bunch of overblown hype? Or does this gadget have real potential?
