IronKey, the self-proclaimed “maker of the world’s most secure flash drive,” unveiled their new D200 USB flash drives this morning.

The target consumers for these fancy USB keys are workers who store, transport and share large amounts of data, both in the office and in the field. It’s especially recommended to those in military and/or government offices. Promising “superior value due to its high security,” highlights of the D200s drives include:

  • New policy enforcement, usability and field-maintenance capabilities
  • Dual-channel architecture enables rapid data transfer rates
  • Doubles as a strong authentication token
  • Provides secure management of encryption keys
  • Self-defending against physical, malware and password attacks

Note, however, that full functionality is NOT yet available on Mac OS X. Available in 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 GB, the D200 devices are on sale in IronKey’s online store, with prices ranging from $100-300, depending on the memory size.
