In Canada, the Green Party accuses the country’s Prime Minister of backing
a bogus plan that only pretends to follow the Kyoto protocol. And Greenpeace in Australia is accusing their government of supporting the move…all to please American President George W.

Meanwhile up in Alaska they’re studying an unusual new atmospheric phenom. Could be a sign of global warming, but they’re calling it, in fetching scientific jargon, “noctilucent ice clouds.” So unusual are these clouds that scientists are going to Alaska this week for a conflab on same.

And over in Britain the last protestors have pulled out of Heathrow Airport. No flights were disturbed except a few easily perturbed pigeons. Global warming protests continue at BP offices and even at one nuclear power plant.

Finally, there may some green lighting in your kitchen’s future. Green in the sense of energy efficient, color is still up to you. CNET has a blog about newly developed lighting technology called EFO. Check it out.
