Humans endangering penguins
The Magellanic Penguin is being forced to work harder to survive. That is threatening the birds’ ability to gather food and raise young. An American researcher found three human-caused factors are making the birds’ survival problematic. Our energy policies which require shipping oil around the globe and the inevitable leaks and spills. Our over-fishing which takes food out of the birds’ mouths. And global warming which is making penguins’ fishing more precarious and less predictable, often forcing much longer swims.
If Penguins could vote, they might be in favor of solar or nuclear or….
