To keeping on nuc-ing...or not

That is the question. And the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will next year decide whether to keep the Indian Point nuclear generating plant online for another twenty-five years. This time the arguments over Indian Point have a strong economic content.
New York State’s Department of Environmental Conservation says the plant is having continuous negatives effects on wildlife in the Hudsoin River and should be denied a new permit. The NRC’s own staff recommendation is to keep the plant running because it produces so much energy.

The tree huggers just can't get we need more then one source for power. I would ask this guy if he wants one of those windmills in his backyard. I didn't think so!... (Read the rest)
