A new solarvoltaic production plant is opening in Albuquerque. It’s owned by Schott Solar. The plant opens in a month and will employ about 300 people. Schott North America is based in Roseville, California. It is owned by Zeiss Foundation of Germany, not a publicly traded company.

Schott will make both standard photovoltaic panels and solar-thermal collector tubes at the Albuquerque factory.
