Tech distributor Tech Data now an EPEAT partner
Information from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (more informally known as EPEAT) is being married up with tech specs and other product information that resellers can research through the Tech Data catalog. What that means for IT buyers is more complete environmental and green IT ratings information for the more than 30 manufacturers that have roughly 1,000 products listed on the EPEAT registry.
EPEAT ratings matter most for government accounts, where it is part of the required evaluation process. However, more and more healthcare organizations are starting to pay attention to the ranking.
