Here’s a video interview with Dr. Steven Chu, U.S. Energy Secretary. He speaks optimistically about Americans’ ability to save energy through weatherization and public transit.

He sees real-time power pricing as a way to make solar economically feasible. And he promotes further investment in developing more effective solar technology. Dr. Chu’s department is a major funder of such research.
