Market research firm IDC has added TechTurn, GE Capital, Converge and Insight Enterprises to the list of companies that have been blessed with its Green Recycling and Asset Disposal for the Enterprise (G.R.A.D.E.) certification. That means their practices are compliant with best practices and standard for 34 different task areas associated with this process, including a very sensitive one for any company getting rid of old equipment — how to wipe off data so that it can’t be recovered. Here’s more information from the IDC press release.

Other companies that have made the G.R.A.D.E., so to speak, are Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intechra and Redemtech.
