Oil-staters win hybrid competition!

Texas A and M has turned out its share of petroleum engineers over the decades that crude oil has fuelled the Texas economy. Just recently the university beat the field in a race featuring student built hybrid cars! And the race was not even held in Texas, but in New England.
Colorado State and Drexel Universities finshed second and third in the competition. Texas A and M won the following categories: Design, Presentation, Endurance, Autocross. Here’s the website of the TAM Auto Engineers.
Brigham Young was TOO innovative, their hydraulic hybrid was disqualified from this year’s race.
