Green IT perspective out of Ireland
Not a ground-breaking story, but this article out of Ireland reveals some of the similarities (and differences) about the motivations for Green IT programs outside of North America. Hint: There’s really not much difference. No matter where you are, you need to have a money-saving reason for your proposals. One final note: I realize most of the people reading this probably work for some sort of global company. This article is a good reminder that you need to remember the local considerations of Green IT initiatives (energy prices, availability of alternatives, availability of technology).
