Intuit service maps QuickBooks expense data to carbon impact

Most of the carbon footprint calculators housed out on the Internet are intended for either consumers or big businesses. Intuit, long-time friend of the little guy, has introduced a free service called Green Snapshot that hooks into your QuickBooks software and uses the information you provide about your expenses to give you ideas about where you can adjust your spending with an eye to positive eco-impact. Of course, the tool will only be as effective as the detail of the data you enter. But still, it’s a start. Here’s the link to see for yourself.
