Cisco continues to spread green shoots with energy data collection tool
Since I’m sure pretty much every one of you reading this blog has SOME Cisco gear, wanted to point you to their latest product launch related to the Connected Building initiative. My Smart Planet blog post from earlier today outlines their Network Building Mediator launch from last week. The device gathers up energy consumption information from all manner of technology (not just the stuff traditionally associated with the IT department). The company has forged more than 20 development and engineering alliances that will see the new device integrated with all manner of building technologies.
