GM says Volt will get 230 MPG in city. Nissan raises the ante for its Leaf–green leaf, get it. They now claim well over 300 MPG. Neither car has been officially rated by the EPA. The Volt is to go on sale next year, the Leaf in 2011.

I get an extra 3 mpg...
by coasting down some of the hills I drive and shutting off my engine at long stop lights.

I joke that w/ all the money I'm saving, it might cover the cost of a new starter........ (Read the rest)
