350 or bust?

350.org has proclaimed October 24 a day of action on global warming. They are basking in the recent publicity garnered from Bill McKibben’s appearance on Colbert. Colbert! Remember when “Sixty Minutes” or “Time’s” cover actually in the world of publicity?
If you google 350 Colbert you get about 400,000 hits. That’s in less than a week since McKibben was on the show.
350 wants to see more awareness of what individuals and organizations can do to lower our global carbon footprint and get the CO2 in the atmosphere back to 350 ppm. Currently we’re approaching 400 ppm and researche stimates the pre-Industrial Revolution level was around 275ppm.
