Worried about green printing? Xerox tempts marketers with new "sustainable" paper
Much of the green downside around printing technology actually has to do with the paper and consumables used in printers. So, little surprise that we continue to see innovation on the supplies side.
A new sort of coated paper from Xerox acknowledges the fact that both sides of the paper aren’t necessarily created equal, especially when you’re talking about printing. The Xerox Digital C1S has a different finish on each side, so that you could print text information on one side and print a glossy color on the other. (Like if you were were going to print out a paint swatch with specifications on the backside.) The paper is intended for use with the company’s laser digital printing technology. The paper is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, sort of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for sustainable forestery and management.
