Car news from Frankfurt. Color it green.
CNET has a gallery of some of the new German-made cars debuting in Frankfurt this week. Hybrids, plug-ins, high efficiency cars. Here they come…eventually.

There’s now evidence that Toyota, maker of the top-selling hybrid Prius, has decided to stick with nickel batteries and not shift to the more expensive lithium-ion. So battery marketing and development battles will continue with no clear winner yet.
The U.S. based automakers are not prominent at the Frankfurt show but hometown German car makers are really pushing their next gen tech and concepot cars. One US carmaker at the show: Fisker, with their hybrid plug-in that claims over 400 horsepower. No wimpy little town car that.
