The governor of the great state of Kansas doesn’t appear ready to compromise with her legislature on building new coal-fired plants there. The latest reports indicate the current Republican-backed bill in the Knsas legislature will not be signed by the Democrat who is governor.

Last fall Kansas was the first state in the U.S. to turn down a coal-burning electricity plant because of global warming.

Now the legislature is moving to make those plants happen anyway, and weaken the power of the state’s administration to prevent any future power plants in Kansas.
