Don't bother finding Tuvalu on a map. It may be gone soon.
Tuvalu is one of the smallest, lowest and most endangered nations on earth. Residents already see the sea closing in on them. And many Tuvaluans have left for what may become their new homeland, hospitable New Zealand.
It could be that the sixteen square miles of Tuvalu will become the first nation destroyed by higher sea levels. Even Tuvaluan ministers are telling their parishioners not to expect God to deliver them from the rising waters.
