Will Jobs unveil a new iPhone at the WWDC keynote on June 9th?
Steve Jobs will kick off Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a Monday morning keynote speech on June 9. Will this be when the new iPhone will be finally revealed to the most rabid of Apple fans?
Speculation is rampant that the iPhone 2.0 will be pulled out of Steve’s pocket at some point during the WWDC keynote speech. After all, stocks of the current iPhone seem to have run dry, and the current iPhone is getting a little long in the tooth.
I’m almost certain that over the next couple of weeks that the trio of Apple uber-fanboys (Mossberg, Pogue and Baig) will be receiving small iPhone-shaped packages from the Apple mothership so that they will be ready with their reviews for the big day. I’m also certain that Steve Jobs will be leaving an iPhone shaped space in his jeans pocket on the big day. About halfway through the keynote Jobs will perform some sort of cunning reveal, Apple fans the world over will gasp from the shock (because it’ll be so unexpected), and following a brief pause they’ll start piling into Apple stores, throwing handfuls of money at the clerks. Recession, what recession?
That’s what I think - what do you think?

- 3G
- Video
- Slightly tweaked form factor
- Probably a GPS
- Better battery
- An AT&T subsidy
- Improved user interface which will add revolutionary features such as the ability to copy and paste
