iPhone 2.0 - Time for some wild speculation!
So, the iPhone 2.0 announcement is mere hours away, it’s time for the rampant guessing and speculation to hit high-gear!
Dwight Silverman has done a good job of covering the possible features:
- Almost certainly, it will connect to AT&T’s 3G network. Apple and AT&T executives have said so.
- It likely will have GPS capabilities. Or not.
- It may be thinner. Or thicker. Or not.
- It may have a black plastic back. Or a white plastic back. Or not.
- It may have instant messaging and video chat. Or not.
- It will be able to pull e-mail from corporate networks running Microsoft’s Exchange server.
- It may cost less, as low as $200. Or not.
I’m going to be conservative in my predictions:
- It’ll have 3G (duh!)
- Revamped software
- Tweaked design (I’m predicting that the metal back will go)
- Some minor feature changes, but I’m not expecting anything earth-shattering
Got a prediction? Fire away!
