AMD posts seventh straight quarterly loss
AMD reports a seventh straight quarterly loss.
Today AMD reported a loss of $1.19 billion on revenues of $1.35 billion for Q2 08. Compare this to a year-ago net loss of $600 million on revenues of $1.31 billion.
AMD has reported losses for seven straight quarters, since Q3 06. Over the seven quarters AMD has lost a staggering $5.5 billion.
Markets have reacted badly to this news and at the time of writing (3:20pm PDT) AMD stock is down 6.8% in after hours trading.
