iPhone 2.2 update is out
Good news everyone (or for iPhone owners at least). Apple has released software update 2.2 for the iPhone.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Performance and stability improvements for SafariĀ
- Google Maps now have Street View, show walking/public transport directions, and allow an address of a pin to be displayed
- Fewer dropped calls
- Email fetching bug fix
- Wide-format HTML email support
- Download podcasts over WiFi
- Keyboard auto-correct can now be turned off
Things that are still MIA:
- Cut and paste
- MMS
- Flash support
- Voice dialing
- Turn-by-turn GPS
Jailbreakers might want to hold out from installing this update.
Update 2.2 is also available for iPod touch users.
