AMD warns of 25% drop in Q4 sales
Bad news from chipmaker AMD today - the Sunnyvale company has warned that Q4 revenues will be about 25% lower than those for Q3.
AMD blames weak consumer demand as buyers are increasingly unwilling to lever open their wallets and purses.
Some quick numbers. Q3 revenues were $1.59 billion, so this means Q4 revenues in the region of $1.19 billion.
AMD’s Q4 report is scheduled for January 22nd.
