Happy Holidays!

Before I sink into an eggnog and sherry induced haze I’d like to take the opportunity to offer Holiday best wishes to all my readers and also wish you a very Happy New Year.

Over the past 12 months we’ve had extensive conversations on this blog (with TalkBack comments running into the tens of thousands) and via email and I feel that I’ve got to know a little bit about many of you. We might not agree on anything :-) everything but that doesn’t make the conversation any less valid in my opinion. I know that for me it’s been a lot of fun and I hope that the fun can continue in 2009.

Putting the economy on one side for a minute (and my thoughts go out to all friends, family, colleagues and readers adversely affected during these troubled times - I hope you see better times real soon), 2009 is already shaping up to be a really interesting year. We’ve got Snow Leopard and Windows 7 to look forward to (given the latest builds I’m seeing, plus a play I had with a post 7000 build earlier this week, I think that Win 7 will go RTM mid-year), more updated Linux distros, more open source software and great new hardware to look forward to!

In order to give you a little break, my Holiday gift to you is to ease back on posting a bit. I’ll still be keeping an eye on the hot sheets and if anything happens I’ll be sure to let you know, but otherwise posting here will be light until the new year.

Well, all that’s left for me to say is this - no matter what you get up to over the Holiday season, make it memorable!
