If you are going to be playing with the RC of Windows 7 you’ll need the appropriate GPU driver to get the best from your system.

If you use your PC as an office PC then you’ll be fine with the built-in GPU drivers, but if you’re planning on gaming, these drivers are a must.

AMD/ATI

The latest Catalyst drivers for AMD/ATI products is 9.4. These support desktop products ranging from the HD 4890 series down to the HD 2400. For more information on compatibility check the release notes.

Note: This could change over the next few days as new Catalyst drivers are released monthly. I’ll update this post when new drivers are released.

NVIDIA

NVIDIA has just released beta GPU driver set 185.81. These drivers support GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, and 200-series desktop GPUs. For more information on compatibility check the release notes or the full GPU compatibility list.
