Psystar seeks Chapter 11 dismissal, vows to "battle Goliath"

Just as you thought the story was coming to a close, there’s yet another interesting twist. Florida-based-clone Mac-maker Psystar is not only seeking to have the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case dismissed, the company has also vowed to continue to “battle Goliath.”

On the bankruptcy side of things, there are several reasons that Psystar wants the Chapter 11 dismissed, including not being able to come to an agreement with its legal firm, Palo Alto, Calif.-based Carr & Ferrell (who is owed more than $86,000 by Psystar), the cost of Chapter 11, and the fact that the company has no interest in filing for Chapter 7, which would effectively end the company.

In the company’s latest newsletter, Psystar is not only offering a new quad-core based Mac-clone tower running a 2.66GHz Xeon W3520 for $1,499.99, but the company also promises to continue to “battle Goliath” and says that “when life gives you apples, make applesauce.”

This could, once again, get interesting!
